B A L M O R A L S :

BORROWING FROM THE BOYS

named after the balmoral castle in scotland, balmorals (aka oxfords) have been worn by women since the early 20th century.

they were immensely popular in the 1920's (merci beaucoup, coco)

where the fashion a la mode had women tossing their corsets, donning trousers, + trading in their long locks for a short bob.

despite their radical beginnings, these timeless basics project a "nonchalant professional" look.

handmade of spanish goat skin, these balmorals remind us girls to borrow from the boys.
